In this class we’ll be exploring Vector as a movement resource. How can we consciously choose to move in a particular direction? How might we express what we want? How might we share what drives us in a way that benefits both ourselves and others?
- Our group vector for the evening will involve:
- – Exploring moving by ourselves
- – Moving collectively as a group
- – Exploring moving with a partner
- – Taking it in turns with our partner to choose the direction of movement
- – No physical contact will be necessary. Consensual physical contact is welcome
All are welcome to attend this class who are willing to step onto the dance floor to engage with this shared group intention. My aim is also to make classes as inclusive as possible. If participating in the above activities is very difficult, or not possible for you, please contact me to discuss how best I might support your Open Floor experience.
Open Floor is a dance meditation and personal development practice for building physical and emotional intelligence, mindfulness and soulfulness. By practicing embodying movement resources our aim is to become more skilled and flexible in our range of responses to life’s ups and downs, and to be more comfortable in our own skin.
